I am curious to know what causes that surge of physical pain in the heart/chest area when a person’s feelings are hurt. Physiologically what is going on in the body and can this cause damage to the heart over the long term? I looked all over the web and couldn’t find an answer…Anyone have a clue?

emotions greatly affect the heart.. it causesto chest pains and eventully turn to heart dysfunction due to the improper circulation of blood because of too much emotion.. it can obtstuct blood flow..
