Istvan c: if those two ‘societies” killed around 100 million people between them. I wouldn’t call that philanthropic. I would say they are misanthropic at the very least.
Hayden: The AFDC is a Gov program. How is that an atheistic philanthropic society? It is secular, but it is not atheistic nor a society.

Atheists don’t believe in giving to the needy or helping others. All organized religions promote that.
