ACL KNEE RECONSTRUCTION REHAB.?
Question by : ACL KNEE RECONSTRUCTION REHAB.?
hiii, i’m 15 years old.
I do a lot of sport every week, including soccer games, soccer training, pe and fit to lead.
About a year and a half ago I had an ACL reconstruction and ever since my body has gone down hill. I did all my exercises after my operation and I was told I could run again.
I have been since then which was about a year ago.
I do a fair bit of exercise, but I’ll have to admit my eating habits aren’t as good as they used to be.
I have soccer 2 nights a week which is pretty intense, and then I have a game on sunday’s.
I thought I was developing a shin splint which I still think is true, so I went to the doctors and they told me to have an X-ray which I did.
Nothing showed so they sent me home and that was the end of that.
I still have problems with it. And now I feel whenever I jog (not sprint) jog, that I get pain running down both of my legs.
And when I’m running flat out at my soccer games my calf’s feel like they are going to bust open, but when I take my shin pads off it feels a lot better.
I know i’m just blabbing but I really want to get fit and get a toned body, but all this crap holds me back..
Physo is a waste of time so dont go there please.
is something wrong with me?
my legs really hurt but only when I jog, I feel like an old lady when I’m only 15.

From a website with great info:
During an initial consultation, I explain to patients that Prolotherapy stimulates the body to repair painful areas. and can help many conditions, including a knee that has been through surgery.
It doesn’t matter if the damage to the knee came from an injury, NSAID, cortisone shot, or surgical procedure, the tissue will heal the same way. If a joint and/or its structures are damaged, weakened, torn, or degenerated, the treatment needed is Prolotherapy.
When a person has surgery on a knee, they are typically left with a decreased amount of meniscal tissue, which causes greater stress on the articular cartilage. In this case, physicians who perform Prolotherapy will inject Prolotherapy injections into the joint to stimulate repair.
Sometimes stronger proliferants will need to be used to promote faster healing, such as human growth hormone (HGH). Cartilage cells have Growth Hormone receptors on them. In terms of repair, cartilage is generally slower to heal than other tissues treated with Prolotherapy. Therefore, it may take more time and treatment sessions. With enough patience, the articular cartilage can and will be repaired.
Prolotherapy is also successful for the person who experiences suboptimal results from knee surgery. Because the degenerative process is always the same, Prolotherapy can be used to stimulate repair to the areas that were injured with surgery. Athletes and those with prior surgeries are finally realizing that they can get back to sports because of the healing powers of Prolotherapy. Prolotherapy is effective for a multitude of knee injuries since all of them involve injuries to the same soft tissue structures, which include the menisci, articular cartilage, tendons, and ligaments. Thanks to Prolotherapy, the athlete and those desiring to be active can heal their sports injuries and other knee pains permanently, naturally, and safely!
