Alcoholic Rehabilitation Questions?

Question by Maya: alcoholic rehabilitation questions?
Umm… I am writing a book and in my story this guys mom is a alcoholic. And she can never heal herself even through rehab. I was wondering if:
* If you don’t stop drinking can you lose your child?
* How long is rehabilitation?
* How old does a child have to be to live alone if the parent is in rehab? ( ex the rehab is not going to let a 5 year old be alone while the mother is in rehab right? (I would understand if they are 18) I don’t really understand this so sorry if I sound dumb!)
* Whats the worst thing that can happen if the alcoholic cant stop?
Thank you for reading this. I feel bad for all the kids and adults that have to go through all that :( Thank you for reading!
