Charlip Law Group Miami Jewish Home Class Action 0002 – Alice Taheri thought she was covered by her Humana insurance plan when she walked into the Rosomoff Pain Center at the Miami Jewish Home and Hospital for the Aged to get treatment for her pain. Instead of palliative treatment for her pain, what Alice received from the Miami Jewish Home and Hospital was deceptive treatment designed to put more money into the pocket of the pain center. The deception was based upon the representation by the hospital that Humana Insurance did not cover Alice for the treatments provided by the Rosomoff Pain Center (a wholly owned unit of the Miami Jewish Home & Hospital for the Aged), and that she had to pay for these services and treatments out-of-pocket as a private paying patient.
