East End Vet Physical Rehab; Sammy June 8th – Sammy is a few months post TPLO and has an interesting problem. She will only use her hind limb when walking on grass. When walking on hard floors or concrete she will mostly hold the limb elevated. Xrays show the surgical site is healed and convey no medical reason to not be using the limb. Contracture of the hock was noted from disuse and muscle atrophy. Rehab is being used to encourage weight bearing with the warmth of the water allowing for muscle warming.
