you really should have started on intense physical therapy a week after the surgery for 3 days a week. i have been doing that and i just started light running a few weeks ago.(i had the same surgery on feb. 18th.) I play year round aau basketball and the estimated date for me to be able to play again is in july….so i suggest you start working really hard on strengthening your calfs…and even more importantly your quads…that will help support your knee. and make sure you get a custom brace. you can probably get it through your doctor. but it is VERY important to strengthen those muscles before you do anything.
